Paradise for Cycling

“I love the Alps but so many people told me how amazing the Mallorcan riding is, so I thought it was about time I found out for myself. My ability to follow a route or map isn’t great at times so the chance to be led by people with years of experience on the OTE Training Camp was a big plus.

“With a number of events in the diary for the year including Struggle Dales, Struggle Moors and Wales in a Day, I signed up to the training camp in Mallorca.”

Escaping Snow

“After doing most of my training in the garage on the turbo for over three months, the camp gave me a block of riding that I never would have achieved at home.

The UK was enduring yet more snow as we rode with the sun on our backs. Two weeks after returning I took on the ridiculously tough 70 mile Ronde Van Calderdale. I wouldn’t have stood a chance of completing it with just the riding I had managed in the UK.”

Smashing Goals

“Since returning I have completed a number of events including Wales in a Day and Struggle Moors. The latter was a hard day with the parcours on offer – and in the baking heat. Still I cleared all the climbs whilst seeing others walking. I ate the 30% climbs for breakfast!

“Wales in a day arrived and even rain at 4.30am couldn’t dampen my enthusiasm. I could tell from the start that I was on good form. Clearly the training that I had accumulated at the camp and throughout the spring paid off.

“I now plan to fulfil another ambition by competing in this years 3 Peaks CX race in 2018 now I have the confidence that I will last the distance.”

Camp Highlights

“Things I like about the camp are; the ride leaders, the routes, the climbs, the hotel, the bike facilities, the food, group riding, through-and-off, the other guests. In short I couldn’t fault a thing.”

Why Book?

“Good banter, good food, good company, great riding, sensible pricing; why wouldn’t you want to join the fun. I have booked for the 2019 OTE Training Camp and plan to use the week to build on this year’s fitness so I can extend my distance riding further.”

The 2019 OTE Training Camp takes place on 22nd-29th March. Find out more about the OTE Training Camp in Mallorca and  book your place.
